MONIELO is a registered humanitarian association under French law (loi 1901). It is legally established in both France and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where all of its work takes place. MONIELO helps disadvantaged children, in three ways:
• Schooling for orphaned children, funded through sponsorship.
• Emergency shelter for children who are close to living on the street.
• Care — food, clothing and healthcare, according to need.
Sponsoring a child costs €42 a month or €504 a year. With the 66% French tax deduction, that comes to €172 for a full year of school for one child.
